Stephen Hollevy is a pen name for the author, a prominent New York City attorney with a unique vantage point for writing this novel. As a partner in three New York City law firms over the course of approximately 40 years, at various times, he was head of a 20-lawyer litigation department, a senior real estate partner in a 45-lawyer department, the chair of a 20-lawyer corporate department, the head of a 35-lawyer bankruptcy and restructure group and served on the management committee of a major Manhattan law firm. Many of his legal matters involved well-known clients and/or were relatively high profile. Taking a two-year break from private practice, he became Senior Vice President in a NASDAQ-listed public company whose market capitalization rose to $1.2 billion during his tenure. He has served as a director on the boards of three public companies and several privately-held companies. For five years, he co-authored a weekly column in the New York Law Journal and he has been a frequent lecturer to many professional groups and corporations on a wide variety of legal matters.
